		" This project is like trying to fool with mother nature. I have been a resident on Maui for 54 years and except for the development of homes and condos, the shoreline hasn't changed. The shorelline shifts as the seasons change but is never ever is in danger of permanent harm. I'm sure that the advocates of this project have good intentions but keep in mind that these are selfish intentions. Let's not forget the people who have been fishing, diving and gathering limu all of their lives let alone all the fishes, tako, pipipi, and other game just waiting to caught. These activities have been passed down from generation to generation and represents an important aspect of the local lifestyle. I see these people daily because I am a resident of "Spreckelsville". I have lived here for over twenty years and have personally witnessed the natural shifting of the existing sands. The sudden influx of all the foreign sand would severely ruin the natural habitat of all living sea creatures. 		"The maui news totally took everthing out of context as they often do.On 5-25-08 I was there to support our kupunas and kalo farmers of the Honopou, Huelo and Kailua areas.That day was a good day as far as getting the word out and the word is there is no water for kalo farmers, the indiginous Kanaka Maoli in that area and the cause for this is on the shoulders of the CWRM Commission of Water Resource Management. (EMI)Garett Hew now wants to work with the parties involved but why now?
